Even though I continue to push the knee at home and at therapy, I’m still not to happy that it seems to not be bending up to par. Today, I got an answer as to why: scar tissue build-up.
Yes, it sounds gross, and it is. The idea that “gunk” is attaching to my knee so much that it prevents it from fully bending is nasty. In rare cases, people go back in for surgery to have the tissue removed. Hopefully, in my case, I can just massage the heck out of it, to the point that it hurts and hope to

I had a fair amount of scar tissue as well. But acupuncture + massaging seemed to have helped it out (have no bending problems)
Good luck!
Give yourself a bit of time… I met and heard of people who had to go back to the surgeon to get the scar tissue broken. I did not want to be one of those people! I just kept on working at it and got full flexion back. Took longer than average but we all heal differently. Yes knee can!!
