Not much to report these days. Rehab is coming along very well. I’m in my home stretch to get in great shape for skiing at the end of January. The pops stop. The excersizes became easier. And, yes, you get stronger!
The other day, my MCL (or at least that part of me knee) started to hurt. Out of nowhere. Nothing to bad, but just annoying. As if the ACL wasn’t bad enough. I hope you all just stick to one injury.
Does the cold weather of the wintertime affect anyone’s knee?

Hi:
I have an ache in that area too. More of a pulling feeling. Not really like the ACL injury pain or issue.
Hmmm..that is interesting.
I got the clear from my doctor today to resume anything I want to do.
It will be tough to “go slow and take it easy”. at first.
Sending you positive thoughts on your progression and rehab!
D
Diane,
Hearing the official Ok from the doctor had to be so amazing! Just like finally getting you’re leg to do a full revolution on the bike!
I’m so happy for you! I see my doctor next week. I’m sure I’ll be cautious for a while, though. So, what’s the first active you will do?!
You are so right. I nearly jumped off the table and gave him a hug.
I am going to the tennis club on Saturday morning.
My doubles partner and instructor will go easy on me to see what I feel I can do.
I’ll be honest. I am nervous.
The treadmill, cybex, bike…not a problem.
Groundstrokes…not so sure. I will wear my brace for physical and mental support.
Good luck with your appt.
You have worked so hard with PT. I know you will get
the okay too!! I can hear the slopes calling your name.
My knee kills me when the weather goes from hot to cold…Louisiana. Im at 3 months post op (patella tendon) i still have discomfort on the patella tendon, i hope it will eventually go away. I jogged for the first time yesterday for 5 mins…it was the longest 5 mins ever!!!Your blog has been very helpful….Thanks
Bill
Thanks, Bill! Congrats on the jog! I’m still waiting for mine, but five minutes is great. We all heal at different levels and it’s nice to hear someone who is being very progressive.
Geaux tigers! (I see from your e-mail address that you’re from LSU.)
yeah I graduated back in 05 from LSU. Tigers had an average year, hopefully they will be a little better next year. Im still waiting for the day when I can go all day without even feeling my knee. Yesterday I did this slide board thing for one minute, it was killer, but it felt so good to do some kind of cardio for the first time since august.
